    Keep-It-Real

We designed and manage this innovative public health education program in an effort to reduce underage drinking. Keep-It-Real is an Internet/Video contest that encourages high school students to reflect on their experiences with underage drinking then create a 30-second commercial with the message, "if you are underage, don"t drink." The project philosophy is based on a peer-to-peer, project-based learning model devised in conjunction with Pepperdine University"s Educational Technology program. To date, more than 2,000 students have participated in these productions and more than 500,000 votes have been cast.
